    Director of Product Management

    Lime Company is seeking an exceptional Director of Product Management. The successful candidate will serve as a product expert combining world-class domain expertise, development knowledge, market analysis, and end-user feedback to establish product vision, plan for a multi-year roadmap, and partner with Development and Services to deliver the foundational services for world-class peer-to-peer, file-sharing, and media delivery products. This position will work with a team of Product Managers and report to the VP, Product Management.

    The Product Director will work directly with Development teams and should understand the needs and challenges of the organization in order to create solutions that will satisfy both the Business and the end-users.

    Responsibilities

    • Define and prioritize platform and product feature sets
    • Create a detailed product roadmap, tracking progress toward quarterly goals and providing guidance on tactical product execution
    • Manage existing product lines, increasing profitability of existing products and setting P&L goals for each product/service, including measuring actual revenue against estimated revenue potential
    • Engage other functional organizations internally to synthesize ideas on the strategy, planning, and execution of next-generation products. Build consensus and drive execution on product and technology plans.
    • Collaborate with the Business, User Experience, and Legal teams during product concepts to assess value, usability, and feasibility of product features.  Work extensively with customers and internal constituents to define and refine new and existing product requirements.
    • Specify, prioritize, and communicate high-level and detailed product specifications using deliverables such as written specs, defined business rules, use cases, and user experience-generated information
    • Serve as “product owner” within one or more Scrum teams
    • Act as a product evangelist to internal groups and external clients, assisting Sales and Business Development when needed
    • Conduct best-practices research and benchmarking
    • Identify and manage potential third party partnership opportunities
    • Manage scope throughout each release cycle
    • Establish metrics to measure effectiveness and drive improvement

    Qualifications

    • 8+​ years of professional experience with 6+ ​years Product Management or Product Operations experience in one or more of the following: Consumer Software, Digital Music services or applications, File Sharing, Peer-to-Peer networking and/or Social networking
    • Proven ability to effectively translate business strategies into product strategies, roadmaps and product specifications that deliver against Company strategic and financial goals
    • Must be detail-oriented, well organized, and able to lead multiple product executions across different departments simultaneously
    • Strong technical background and ability to work closely with a software engineering team
    • "Hands-on" work experience developing product requirements
    • Strong track record of being a key contributor on successful, deadline-driven teams
    • Professional presence and advanced communications and presentation skills
    • Self-motivated and able to multi-task under aggressive schedules
    • Significant people and organizational management skills with highly developed teamwork skills
    • BA/​BS degree required.​ Technical degree (EE/​CS) desired.​ MBA a plus.​

    Bonus:

    • Prior experience working in a Scrum product development environment
    • Experience with Digital Media products, Web services, and distributed computing environments
