Get ready to celebrate: We’re turning 10!

Break out the cake and candles — this month our company celebrates 10 years in business. It’s a milestone worth commemorating because, over the past decade, our company has grown up. We now have more employees, more resources, and more users than ever before. We’re proud to say that LimeWire has become the world’s most popular P2P file-sharing program.

In addition to the products, features, and technical accomplishments we have behind us, we’ve worked hard to create meaningful digital experiences for hundreds of millions of people. I like to think that LimeWire has touched people’s lives, even if just in some small way.

At this time, I’m amazed and humbled to note that over the years, LimeWire has grown to reach users in over 200 countries around the globe. And, through our LimeWire Store, thousands of music fans can connect with today’s top indie artists and music legends through a catalog that now includes over 6 million recordings.

Having such a large and enthusiastic user base has fueled everything we’ve done in the past decade. LimeWire has truly been shaped by the people who use it and support its growth.

So while it’s our birthday, we want to make a toast to — our fantastic users, our brilliant partners, and the entire passionate LimeWire community.

Just as we couldn’t have predicted all that’s happened during our first 10 years, we certainly can’t speculate about what the next 10 years will bring. We’re confident in our next steps. And, we’re thrilled about our new service that will offer music fans an unmatchable digital music experience and new ways to discover content, without being restricted by device or location. I firmly believe the best is yet to come!
