Our New Normal: A More Dedicated, Agile Team than Ever Before

Something funny is happening on the way to our new music service… We created a new ‘normal’ for our team.

Last year many things started to change for our company. And, we embraced the changes. Every team member learned how to become more nimble. For example, we defined an agile development process that allowed us to deliver high quality software in the shortest amount of time possible. We learned how to grow our organization without compromising our core values.

We also experienced a big growth spurt and added many new team members to our company roster, gearing up for the development of our new music service.

Because of our commitment to constant improvement and increased agility, our team was better poised to weather the legal storm that arrived in May. And here is the counter intuitive part; the recent legal storm that we’ve been through has been characterized as a potentially fatal chapter for our company morale. In reality, it has only made us a more focused and energized company.

‘Normal’ for us now means being in a state of constant agility. ‘Normal’ now means adventure. ‘Normal’ now also means expect the unexpected from yourself and others.

Personally, I have never witnessed a team pulling together like we have. Because of our strong legacy, our attentive leadership, our increased nimbleness and a very talented team, we were able to keep our eyes locked on the prize – the creation of a game-changing new music service that will deliver an exceptional experience to consumers.

While the development of our new music service has been a part of our company’s plans over the past few years, the excitement level at Lime Company is steadily increasing as its functionality becomes more of a reality each day. That has a radiating effect. Despite our dynamic new company paradigm, I am very proud to say that our company morale has remained high.
